The Radiance Vein Clinic team are leading the expansion of beneden hospital’s varicose veins service. Thanks to Mr Eddie Chaloner and Mr Aaron Sweeney, Benenden hospital is now the UK’s largest user of a special gold tip laser fiber, which enables the very latest technology to treat the condition.
The Never Touch fibers are used in the Endovenous Laser Treatment and are provided by international supplier AngioDynamics.
Mr Chaloner said: “The Never Touch laser has a sheathed tip which reduces perforation of the vein wall during treatment, so has less post-op bruising than a bare fibre. We can also use it on a reduced power setting, reducing post-operative discomfort.”
